Brief:
To walk in and update fixtures with new parts and POS. To remove discontinued products, move any elements being put into new positions on the stand and site all new parts, POS, and product lines to the planogram and instructions provided. To leave fixtures tidy and beautifully merchandised to drive maximum sales of new and existing lines.
Our response:
eXPD8 started planning this activity with the brand 8+ weeks out to ensure the best possible results. This included regular catchups with the brand to develop a better understanding of the update; as well as testing and time trialling the prototype kits and instructions to drive maximum accuracy and efficiency.
Visits were carefully assigned by eXPD8’s Field Management team who were briefed on the activity in advance to ensure they were aware of the importance of the update and could input into planning. Visits were also only assigned to our group of expert trained Beauty merchandisers who have previously undertaken updates and our online bespoke range change training modules to increase compliance.
Throughout the update our team rose to the challenge and got 96% of calls done within the first half of our agreed visit window with the brand. On top of this, our team achieved a brilliant 98% compliance first time and eXPD8 worked collaboratively with Meiyume to resolve the small percentage of issues.

- 97.69% on compliant on compliance checked stores (the 4 non-compliant stores were due to not flagging missing parts rather than the update not being done correctly)
- 100% of kits walked into store by merchandisers
- 887 completed within the first 2.5 weeks (97.47%)
- 913 stores visited.
- 8211 new lines sited
- 3332 parts & 18875 strips sited
- 908 updates completed (5 non-completed were due to no fixture or store closed, so we did all the updates we possibly could).
